Digital Realty's FRA18 data center, part of Digital Park Fechenheim campus in Frankfurt, Germany, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to support high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. Located in a historically preserved building, the former Neckermann headquarters, the data center combines architectural heritage with cutting-edge technology. The facility offers 8,200 square meters of colocation space and launched with an initial capacity of 6.4MW, with plans to expand to 9.6MW in later phases.

The FRA18 data center incorporates sustainable practices, including a heat reuse system in partnership with Mainova, repurposing residual heat from the facility. This innovative approach aligns with Digital Realty's commitment to sustainability. The site is part of a larger vision for the campus, which aims to host 11 data centers with a total IT area of 100,000 square meters and 200MW of capacity by 2028.
