The Equinix Hyperscale 2 (PA12) datacenter, located in Argenteuil, France, spans a total area of 17,116 m². It is designed to house three main buildings: a general operations building, a generator building, and an electrical substation. The operations building includes two independent data halls, technical spaces, offices, and delivery zones, ensuring seamless functionality. The generator building accommodates 22 backup generators across three levels, tested periodically to maintain reliability. The electrical substation connects to the national grid via a dual high-voltage 225 kV underground link, ensuring stable and continuous power supply.

The site incorporates advanced infrastructure to support its operations. It features nine underground fuel tanks, water reservoirs for fire sprinklers, and a retention basin for rainwater and firefighting water. Additionally, the facility includes areas for waste storage, parking spaces, and reinforced grass zones. The datacenter employs cutting-edge technology to maintain optimal conditions, such as redundant systems for power and cooling, ensuring uninterrupted service.

Environmental considerations are integral to the project. The facility is equipped with measures to prevent accidental oil spills and minimize its ecological footprint. Located within an industrial zone, the datacenter is strategically positioned near the Cormeilles electrical substation, approximately 1 km away, and benefits from robust connectivity and accessibility. This setup underscores its commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
