Digital Realty's MRS5 is a state-of-the-art data center located in Marseille, France, within the Grand Port Maritime. It spans 12,000 m² of IT space and is designed to deliver 22 MW of power. The facility incorporates advanced cooling systems, including the eco-friendly River Cooling solution, which uses water from an old mining gallery for efficient cooling.

MRS5 is committed to sustainability, operating on 100% renewable energy and targeting LEED certification. It features a PUE design of 1.3 and integrates low-carbon concrete and photovoltaic panels. The site also supports circular economy initiatives, such as utilizing waste heat for urban heating networks.

The data center is part of Digital Realty's Marseille campus, which connects to 17 submarine cables, linking 57 countries and over 5 billion users. MRS5 is engineered to meet the growing demands of cloud platforms, AI, and digital media while prioritizing environmental and operational excellence.
