Nebius Mäntsälä Data Center

Nebius' Mäntsälä Data Center, located in Finland, is a flagship facility showcasing the company's commitment to cutting-edge AI infrastructure and sustainability. Currently operating with a capacity of 25MW, the center is undergoing a significant expansion to triple its capacity to 75MW, enabling the deployment of up to 60,000 GPUs. This expansion is part of Nebius' broader $1 billion investment in European AI infrastructure.

The Mäntsälä data center is designed with sustainability at its core. It utilizes free cooling to minimize reliance on chillers and refrigerants, and features an advanced heat recovery system that repurposes approximately 20,000 MWh of server heat annually to provide residential heating for the local community. The facility's innovative design allows operations at higher server temperatures, reducing energy consumption by an additional 15 percent. With a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.1 under high IT loads, the center significantly outperforms the global average.

This facility is also home to the ISEG supercomputer, one of the most powerful and energy-efficient supercomputers globally, ranking in the top 25 for energy efficiency. The Mäntsälä data center exemplifies Nebius' ambition to lead in AI infrastructure while adhering to sustainability principles.
