HR-ZOO ZG2

The HR-ZOO ZG2 data center, part of the University of Zagreb's network, represents a significant advancement in Croatia's digital infrastructure. Located at the University campus Borongaj, it spans a substantial 1,317 square meters, providing ample space for over 60 ICT cabinets for servers. This facility is designed to meet the TIER 3 level standards, ensuring a minimum of 99.98% availability annually. The data center is equipped with state-of-the-art technical systems, including an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), diesel generators, and advanced cooling systems, all aimed at maintaining high availability and security for ICT equipment and digital services.

In terms of technical specifications, the HR-ZOO ZG2 boasts a designed power capacity of 1,100 kW, with an installed capacity of 1,250 kVA for diesel generators and 750 kVA for UPS. The cooling capacity is an impressive 500 kW, reflecting the center's commitment to maintaining optimal operating conditions for the housed equipment. Additionally, the data center employs a 'free cooling' system, leveraging external air for cooling during colder periods, which enhances energy efficiency and reduces operational costs.
