The data centre is designed to N+1, Tier III standards for concurrent maintainability, featuring cutting edge technologies including hot aisle containment and innovative "free cooling" solutions. The site is fully optimized with hyper-effective cooling, utility power and emergency generator power systems to ensure a reliable and redundant infrastructure. The UPS is also designed to support A+B configurations with multiple generators for backup.

The Cologix data centre is manned 24/7 by security guards as well as a tailgate-proof mantrap, S2 keycard, biometric, and closed-circuit TV (CCTV) systems. The data centre is SSAE 16 SOC1 audited, with support to gain PCI compliance on an individual basis.
