BentallGreenOak (BGO)

BentallGreenOak has acquired IBM's data center located at 100 Gough Road in Markham, Ontario, part of the Greater Toronto Area. The facility spans two stories and offers 112,000 square feet of built area. It is currently undergoing a $20 million upgrade to modernize its power systems, enhancing its capacity to support high-performance computing and cloud-based applications.

The data center has expansion potential, with plans to add an additional 90,000 square feet of space and 12 megawatts of power capacity. This acquisition was part of a sale-and-leaseback transaction, allowing IBM to continue operations under medium-term leases. The Toronto data center is a key component of BentallGreenOak's strategy to invest in technology-driven real estate and expand its presence in the digital infrastructure sector.
