Steam Engine is dedicated to providing HPC Cloud infrastructure for media, content media storage, rendering, simulation and process intensive applications for the Finance, Telecommunications, Public Service, Financial Services, GeoScience, BioMedical, Engineering, Broadcast and Media & Entertainment industries.
Steam Engine can offer enterprises all of the benefits of cloud computing, but on dedicated servers and with exclusive network access control. Enterprises have complete control over how end-users utilize the cloud and have the ability to ensure corporate privacy, security and compliance mandates are met. Additionally, Steam Engine has interfaces that allow delegated administration within a Hosted Private Cloud, so enterprises can set up administrative controls including utilization charge backs, end-user self administration, approved virtual machine template libraries, and security controls. Steam Engine can offer enterprises an elastic computing service without compromising privacy and security policies.
Steam Engine currently has 1000 nodes online, with an additional 1500 nodes available XMAS 2010. We are forecasting an additional tranche of nodes available for the market in April / May 2011 of approx 1500 nodes bringing the complete capacity of Steam Engine to 4000 nodes by early 2011.
Steam Engine also offers Managed Services in the areas of StaaS (Storage as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service, SaaS (Software as a Service) & IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). Our collective Managed Services business represents one of Pan Asias first commercial ITaaS (IT as a Service) offerings.
