The heart of Playnet are the web-farms located in its Data Center in Florence (FI) in a logistically strategic industrial area, less than 1km from the Firenze Nord exit of the A1 motorway.

The data of our users are not in the Cloud or managed by non-persons or entities, they are all kept with care and constantly under control, at our web farms in Sesto Fiorentino

The current infrastructure is in terms of connectivity, reliability, security and performance, the result of the skills and experience deriving from the development and management of the datacenter service provided for the TIX (Tuscany Internet eXchange) from 2002 to 2011.

The datacenter was designed to meet the growing demands of customers:
anti-intrusion system and access control through identification
fireproof walls and inert gas fire-fighting system
backup for electricity at 2 levels in cascade, with a 1000 KVA diesel generator for 24 hours, 2 uninterruptible power supplies of 160 KVA for general protection *
perimeter cooling under floor and combined in rack, to maintain a controlled temperature between 18 ° and 20 °
floating floor to facilitate wiring between rack and backbone
About Cloud
Cloud Computing and Datacenter Housing services are provided through hardware of the major brands on the market (CISCO, EMC, DELL, HP.)

* the system guarantees, in the event of a black out of the electricity network, complete operational autonomy thanks to a diesel generator unit. The switchover from normal to emergency energy is automatic and the total switching time is approximately 60 seconds. The presence of uninterruptible power supplies and the possibility of refueling the generator with diesel oil guarantees unlimited autonomy.

Access to the building takes place after identification and registration at our reception. The entrance to the datacenter rooms is carried out using a personal identification code and customers can only be accompanied inside by Playnet staff.

We take care of you and do not hinder you:
our procedures ensure quick access to your equipment, whenever you wish. Hardware transport and installation operations are facilitated by a loading ramp with direct access to the datacenter.
