Metrofibre networx (MFN) is a Carrier Ethernet (CE) fibre optic “Open Access” infrastructure that provides managed CE bandwidth over the “Last Mile” connecting Service and Application Providers to their customers, specifically the Small, to Medium Enterprise (SME) Business Segment.

Our solutions enable CE Services from 2Mbps up to 10Gbps between the end customer and their preferred service provider. We interconnect all services be they, Internet Access, E-mail, hosting, voice or even disaster recovery type data, passing through all the major commercial areas in Johannesburg with plans to do the same in Durban and Cape Town later this year (although, we do currently have ENNI connectivity).
As soon as a building is linked on to the MFN infrastructure, any number of Service Providers may now deliver, high speed, services to the tenants, in these highly populated commercial area, “via redundant Access Rings” saturating each areas delivering fibre to the premises. Once the properties are On Net... the tenants can now choose services from any number of service providers and is not restricted in choice.

Furthermore, the tenant can change from service provider to service provider until such time as they are happy with the quality of service delivered. The tenant now has access to world class CE broadband.

Being that we don't provide Content/Service, we leave this to the Service Providers... All we do is provide a Carrier class Ethernet road (Tarmac) that allows the Service Providers to seamlessly connect to his customers, whether it be Real time (Voice, Video), Priority Data or Burstable Internet...
