The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in Saudi Arabia has also launched the Saudi Arabian Internet Exchange (SAIX) in collaboration with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). SAIX is a non-profit initiative aimed at optimizing internet traffic performance within the Kingdom by reducing latency and improving the localization of content and traffic. This initiative is part of MCIT's broader efforts to enhance the digital infrastructure and support the Kingdom's Vision 2030. SAIX provides a neutral exchange point that enables efficient peering between national and international networks, fostering a robust and healthy internet ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
