Lionex is a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing internet connectivity in Malawi. The Lilongwe Open Neutral Exchange Point (LIONEX) is Malawi's first neutral internet exchange point, located in the capital city, Lilongwe. This platform allows networks to interconnect and exchange data directly, significantly reducing the cost of IP transit. LIONEX supports both IPv4 and IPv6 peering, providing a reliable, high-speed peering infrastructure for a diverse membership that includes local access providers, regional carriers, content providers, and more.
