The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) is the only official market for shares, rights GDR’s, derivative products and bonds trading in Greece, both for the private and institutional investors. It provides the regulatory framework, for conducting transactions, for dissemination of information related to its listed companies and market participants to the investment public.
The Group is an active member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI), the International Options Markets Association (IOMA) and the European Committee of Options and Futures Exchanges (ECOFEX). It is also an affiliate member of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). It is also one of the partners comprising the Link Up Markets company, which is a joint venture by ten leading Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) – Clearstream Banking AG Frankfurt (Germany), Cyprus Stock Exchange (Cyprus), Hellenic Exchanges S.A. (Greece), IBERCLEAR (Spain), MCDR (Egypt), Oesterreichische Kontrollbank AG (Austria), SIX SIS AG (Switzerland), STRATE (South Africa), VP SECURITIES (Denmark) and VPS (Norway).
Hellenic Exchanges Group is expanding its activities offering also its data center premises for proximity services. Extremely high availability is guaranteed as all support systems have 2(N+1) redundancy avoiding critical downtime due to faults or maintenance.
We provide 24x7 power redundancy and 24x7 security guard services.
The data center has been constructed and designed according to very strict specifications aiming to acquire the tier IIII certification by the Uptime Institute.
