Atlantic Internet Exchange Points (AIXP) is a not-for-profit organization that provides a meet-me point for multiple Internet networks and service providers. By facilitating direct connections between networks, AIXP helps to improve the efficiency and performance of local Internet traffic. They operate three exchanges in Atlantic Canada: the Halifax Internet Exchange (HFXIX), the Moncton Internet Exchange (MonctonIX), and the Prince Edward Island Exchange (PEIX).
AIXP's mission is to enhance the Internet infrastructure in the region, making it more robust and reliable for all users. They offer services such as ethernet switching platforms, route reflectors, and content delivery support.
