Data Center Map

Data Center Map was launched in 2007, initially as a spare time project by a colocation customer. Being on the buyer-side in the colocation industry back then, it was very hard to navigate the industry and find data centers. Search Engine Optimization was non-existing, Social Media was not a thing and most data centers were operated by small local operators or telecom providers. This spawned the idea to create a website, mapping data centers around the world.
