AngoNAP Fortaleza is a state-of-the-art data center located in Brazil's Ceará state, operated by Angola Cables. Inaugurated in April 2019, this facility serves as a strategic hub for data and connectivity in the Southern Hemisphere, particularly enhancing digital communication between Brazil, Latin America, and Africa.
The data center boasts a significant area of 3,000 square meters, with an initial phase covering 2,100 square meters and plans for future expansion to 9,000 square meters. It is designed to meet the highest standards of service availability, with a current capacity of 1,000 scalable racks and an energy redundancy capacity of 12.5 MVA.
Angola Cables has committed to investing at least $40 million in the first phase of expansion, aiming to triple the site's storage capacity and increase the installed power capacity to 5MW. This expansion underscores AngoNAP Fortaleza's role in transforming Fortaleza from a transit city into a key location for international data flow and communication services.
