datacenterHawk was founded by David Liggitt in 2014, with its headquarter in Dallas, Texas. Coming from a background in the Data Center Solutions Group at CBRE, datacenterHawk was created with focus on the real estate aspect of the data center industry.

Some of their key offerings are:

• Hawk Search
  A webbased search tool with interactive maps, to search for data center locations by for example market or provider/operator.
• Hawk Insight
  Deep insight in to market trends of markets tracked by DatacenterHawk, with in-depth data and analysis.
• Hawk Hyperscale
  Tracking the largest data center users, the hyperscalers, and where they plan and deploy data center capacity, both owned and leased.
• Hawk Swap
  A transactional lease and purchase database, with analyst verified comps of transactions for data center services.
• Hawk compare
  A tool to compare data center locations.
• Hawk Zoom
  Market insight.
• ColoNOW
  Get quotes for colocation services.

datacenterHawk have been very good at producing podcasts and YouTube videos, covering both their own content/services and a lot of different industry perspectives from service providers etc.



Acquired by Simplify Compliance
In 2022 DatacenterHawk was acquired by Simplify Compliance, to be a part of its CCMI brand. CCMI operates various telecom related services, such as FiberLocator.
