NEXTDC - S7 Sydney

NEXTDC has recently expanded its digital infrastructure footprint with the acquisition of a new data center site, S7, located in Eastern Creek, approximately 45 kilometers west of Sydney's Central Business District. This strategic purchase, valued at approximately A$353 million, covers around 258,000 square meters of developable land area, promising to significantly enhance NEXTDC's capacity and capabilities in the region.

The S7 site, positioned near a major electricity substation and essential telecommunications and public infrastructure, is poised to accommodate a data center facility with a potential capacity of 550MW. This facility is not only expected to house mission-critical operation centers and administrative offices but also provide collaborative spaces for customers.

In alignment with NEXTDC's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence, the S7 data center is anticipated to contribute to the company's network of Uptime Institute certified Tier IV facilities. With a focus on renewable energy sources and achieving the industry's lowest Total Cost of Operation through NABERS 5-star energy efficiency, NEXTDC's S7 site represents a significant investment in Australia's digital future.
