GreenSquareDC's SYD1 data centre, located in Norwest, Sydney, is a state-of-the-art facility designed to support cloud and AI-driven workloads. The campus offers a total IT capacity of up to 96MW, with the first stage utilizing an existing data centre building that provides 20MVA of power and 2,400 square meters of whitespace. This setup ensures rapid deployment for customers.
SYD1 is built with flexibility in mind, offering a range of technology options from 14kW fully air-cooled racks to 200+kW hybrid liquid or immersion racks. The campus also includes an 81MW greenfield expansion, making it a scalable solution for future needs.
Sustainability is a core focus of SYD1, guided by GreenSquareDC's Five Pillars to Sustainability. The facility features low water consumption through innovative cooling designs, water harvesting, and optimized controls. It also achieves a best-in-class annualized operating PUE with high-efficiency cooling equipment and advanced controls. Emissions are minimized through the use of low-GWP refrigerants, renewable energy options for offsetting Scope 2 emissions, and repurposing the existing building shell to reduce Scope 3 emissions.
