Perri Projects is planning to transform the historic Goldsbrough Mort & Co Woolstore in West Footscray, Melbourne, into a state-of-the-art data center. The proposed facility will span four stories on a 2.72-hectare site, blending modern design with the heritage-listed building's architectural significance. Designed by Greenbox Architects, the project incorporates a rhythm of brick bands, glazed panels, and vertical columns to harmonize with its surroundings while maintaining a strong presence on Sunshine Road.

This adaptive reuse initiative highlights the growing trend of repurposing historical structures for modern needs. The project aims to contribute to Melbourne's digital infrastructure while preserving the rich history of the wool industry, which played a significant role in Australia's post-war economic growth. The plans are currently under review by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning, with a subdivision permit already granted by the City of Maribyrnong Council.
